I’m Mal. I am a first generation of Sri Lankan ethnicity, born and raised in New Jersey. I’m formally trained within industrial design from Virginia Tech with over 8 years experience working within the footwear industry. Much of my inspiration is rooted through my love for travel, the outdoors, and the ocean. Seeing first hand how people around the world live their lives, has given me the fascination, appreciation, and sensitivity for people and materials to create a real impact through design.
